Through their Urban Wood Project, Room & Board recognized that urban trees removed due to storms, disease, or development are not waste. They are an underutilized resource with significant potential.

Together, we began reclaiming and processing urban hardwoods that would otherwise be discarded, transforming them into furniture-grade material capable of meeting the demands of modern design and large-scale production. This collaboration demonstrates that reclaimed wood is not a niche choice. It can perform, scale, and last.

Today, Storm Trees-sourced urban wood lives on in Room & Board furniture collections across the country, carrying both craftsmanship and story into everyday spaces. For us, this partnership is a clear proof point that sustainability and quality can move forward together.
