Rooted in Local, Built for the Future.
Established in 2023, Storm Trees is challenging the status quo—showing how reclaimed hardwood can inspire a more sustainable future for the spaces we live, work, and gather.
Our model is purpose-driven, community-focused, and built to serve those who care about quality, story, and impact. Every decision we make is guided by our core values: to create transformative products through intentional practices, foster a regenerative future, and deliver enduring quality our partners can stand behind.
When a Century-Old Tree Fell in a Storm, it Exposed a Simple Truth: Fallen Urban Trees Aren’t Waste — They’re Worth.
Storm Trees was founded to bridge that gap. We reclaim downed trees and give them new life as high-quality building materials. But this is just the beginning of the story. Wood is nature’s carbon vault, and every board foot we produce is measured, species by species, for the carbon it continues to store. That data is reported back to our partners—municipalities, tribal organizations, and private companies—so their sustainability goals can be met alongside ours.
A perfect storm of tree disease, urban development, and an oversaturated mulch market has created both a problem and an opportunity. Municipalities and private companies face unprecedented costs in managing downed trees—while the appetite grows among forestry professionals to think differently about what’s possible.
Our goal is not simply to build a successful company, but to build an industry born from what was once classified as waste. We are reimaging what’s possible when purpose and profit work together. What others discard, we transform into lasting products. And in doing so, we change the way people see value itself.
Our Ethos
At Storm Trees, we believe a vision can change a paradigm. A dream can change the world. When passion is paired with purpose, it sparks transformation—turning big ideas into tangible change.
We see every felled tree as an opportunity to reimagine what’s possible. Our work is about more than lumber; it’s about honoring the story of each tree, restoring balance to our urban forests, and building a future where nothing of value is wasted.

Andy is Patrick’s best friend. Andy is a visionary. Always has been. This innate quality has attracted people to Andy his whole life. The ability to communicate that vision is even more valuable and Andy has a unique ability to not only communicate his vision but to make people believe. Andy’s past career years were spent building a seniors healthcare system. This taught him valuable entrepreneurial skills and leadership qualities, but the most important part of this work wasn’t with the dollar and cents of running a business, it was from the senior community he worked with. Many lessons were learned listening to the greatest generation share their life stories. One of the most important lessons was don’t squander the sacrifices made to create the space that allows us to chase our dreams. Chase your dream, do good for people and for the planet. That is a lesson Andy has taken to heart and the guiding ethos of Storm Trees. We can all believe in that.- bio written by Patrick

Patrick is Andy's best friend and business partner. He is a connector. He has a gift for establishing trust and instilling confidence almost immediately in every relationship he forms. His ability to listen, learn and then figure out how to help forms the foundation of his leadership style and is amongst the reasons why most everyone who interacts with him quickly considers him a friend. With a master’s degree in global affairs from NYU and over a decade of experience in the energy industry, Patrick has refined his ability to take large-scale, ambitious projects from concept to completion in a manner which leaves all stakeholders not only content but eager to maintain a long-term working relationship. At Storm Trees, his positivity, belief and kindness shape the culture that is the engine of our company while bringing vision to life. - bio written by Andy
